Thailand Association of the Blind may invite all Thai people to be the host of The Mid-term Regional General Assembly of the World Blind Union Asia Pacific That will be held on November 26-29, 2023 at Phuket

R-U-GO.COM: วันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน 2566 ณ ห้องคริสตัล โรงแรมเซ็นจูรี่ พาร์ค กรุงเทพมหานคร สมาคมคนตาบอดแห่งประเทศไทยจัดงานแถลงข่าวการประชุมสมัชชาสหภาพคนตาบอดโลกภาคพื้นเอเชียแปซิฟิก World Blind Union – Asia Pacific Mid-term Regional General Assembly

ซึ่งการจัดประชุมในครั้งนี้ จัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนตาบอดไทย ตามนโยบายและแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการของรัฐบาล พร้อมส่งเสริมบทบาทของคนตาบอดไทย ในการสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศตลอดจนการให้ประเทศไทยเป็นที่ยอมรับของประชาคมโลกในด้านคนพิการและผู้ด้อยโอกาสอันเป็นเครื่องชี้วัดความเป็นอารยะของสังคมมนุษย์ รวมถึงส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวและโครงการความร่วมมือด้านอื่น ๆ อันจะนำมาซึ่งการสร้างรายได้ต่อประเทศชาติในระยะยาว โดยในงานคาดว่า จะมีคนตาบอดและผู้เกี่ยวข้องจากประเทศในเอเชียแปซิฟิกเข้าร่วมงานจาก 21ประเทศ จำนวนกว่า 350 คน

“กล่าวว่าการประชุมสมัชชาสหภาพคนตาบอดโลกภาคพื้นเอเชียแปซิฟิก World Blind Union – Asia Pacific Mid-Term Regional GeneRal Assembly (WBUAP MRGA) ที่จะจัดขึ้นในระหว่างวันที่ 26-29 พฤศจิกายน 2566 ณ โรงแรมดวงจิตต์ รีสอร์ท แอนด์ สปา (Duangjitt Resort & Spa) จังหวัดภูเก็ตนั้น เป็นการวางแผนในระยะยาวเพื่อประเทศไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพในการจัดการประชุมใหญ่ WBU ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตตลอดจนการประชุมสัมมนาและกิจกรรมร่วมอื่นๆ ทั้งก่อนและหลังการประชุมใหญ่ อีกทั้งคนตาบอดไทยได้รับการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตตามนโยบายกฎหมายและแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการของรัฐบาล ซึ่งคนตาบอดไทยมีบทบาทในการสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศตลอดจนการให้ประเทศไทยเป็นที่ยอมรับของประชาคมโลกในด้านคนพิการและผู้ด้อยโอกาส อันเป็นเครื่องชี้วัดความเป็นอารยะของสังคมมนุษย์ การท่องเที่ยวและโครงการความร่วมมือด้านอื่น ๆ อันจะนำมาซึ่งการสร้างรายได้ต่อประเทศชาติ ในระยะยาว การวิจัยพัฒนาและการผลิตเทคโนโลยีโดยใช้หลักการการออกแบบที่เป็นสากล (universal design) สำหรับทุกคนและเทคโนโลยีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก (assistive technologies) สำหรับคนพิการ แต่ละประเภท และผู้สูงอายุ โครงการท่องเที่ยวแบบ long stay โดยประเทศไทยน่าจะได้ผลเชิงบวก อย่างแน่นอน ไม่ว่าจะเป็น คนตาบอดและผู้ติดตามจากประเทศต่าง ๆ นำเงินเข้ามาจับจ่ายซื้อสินค้าต่าง ๆ ในประเทศไทย ทำให้เศรษฐกิจไทยโดยเฉพาะในจังหวัดภูเก็ตดีขึ้นอย่างแน่นอน
ในโอกาสนี้จึงขอเชิญชวนคนไทยทั้งประเทศร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุมสมัชชาสหภาพคนตาบอดโลกภาคพื้นเอเชียแปซิฟิก (World Blind Union – Asia Pacific Mid-term Regional General Assembly : WBUAP MRGA) ที่จะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 26-29 พฤศจิกายน 2566 ณ โรงแรมดวงจิตต์ รีสอร์ท แอนด์ สปา (Duangjitt Resort & Spa) จังหวัดภูเก็ต

โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชนและภาคประชาชน อาทิ กรมส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการ กระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ สำนักงานสลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล มูลนิธิช่วยคนตาบอดแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชินูปถัมภ์และองกรค์ด้านคนพิการอีกมากมาย

Thailand Association of the Blind will organize the press conference on the Mid-term Regional General Assembly of World Blind Union – Asia Pacific or WBUAP. The event aims to promote and improve the quality of life in Thai blind people, which is in accordance with the policy and the National Plan on empowerment of People with Disabilities, also to enhance the role of Thai blind people in an international collaboration and to be accepted by the global community on disabled and Disadvantaged people, which are commonly known as the civil indicators of human society. Aside from these, this will promote Thailand tourism and project-related cooperations that will lead to the national long-term revenue.

Mr.Ekamol Padtayanun, president of Thailand Association of the Blind and chair of the organizing committee, said: “The Mid-term Regional General Assembly of WBUAP, that will be held on November 26-29 2023 at Duangjitt Resort & Spa, is our long-term plan for Thailand to be the host of the General Assembly of WBU. These include the seminars and other co-activities, both before and after general assembly. This helps Thai blind people elevating their quality of life, which is consistent with policies, Registrations, and National Plan on Quality of Life Development of People with Disabilities. Now, Thai blind people play a significant role in international collaboration and to be accepted by the global community on disabled and Disadvantaged people, which are commonly known as the civil indicators of human society. These include tourism in Thailand and other project collaborations that will bring project the national long-term income. Apart from these, the general assembly gives us opportunities to promote our research and development projects, technological innovations based on “Universal Design” and :design for all” principles, assistive technologies for people with disabilities and that with elderly, long-stay tourism project for the blind and elderly people with disabilities from other world-wide countries.

On this occasion, I hereby would like to invite all Thai people to be the host of the Mid-term Regional General Assembly of WBUAP That will be held on November 26-29, 2023 at Duangjitt Resort & Spa, Phuket.

This project is fully supported by government agencies, private sectors, and public organizations, such as: Department of Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Thai Government Lottery Office, Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, and other organizations working with people with disabilities in Thailand.
